What is the purpose of soffits?
Soffits protect the end of the rafters, that hold up the roof from the weather. Soffit boards protect the rafters from getting wet and mouldy and reduce the chance that they need to be replaced. Soffits also add character to a home as they are a prominent architectural feature.
Common issues with timber soffits include warping and rot, but thanks to Heat Shield technology, our uPVC versions are not susceptible to such issues. They’re also highly resistant to discolouration, meaning you can enjoy a visually appealing roofline for longer.
