Having been so impressed with the replacement windows in the Zochonis Building, Manchester University insisted on the same for Denmark Road.- Mr Mark Brierley, Director
The University’s Estate Office is a historic building on Denmark Road, Manchester, so when it was decided to replace the old draughty wooden windows they asked the maintenance contractor, MBC, to make sure that they used Droylsden Glass who had recently designed and installed the latest heat saving windows in the University’s Zochonis Building.
Because this is such an important old building the new PVCu frames manufactured by Droylsden Glass had to match the style and profile of the original old wooden sash windows. Not only did they achieve this, but Droylsden Glass also fitted the latest energy efficient double glazed units to reduce heat loss and improve the level of comfort for the occupants.
As an additional challenge, this beautiful old building also included a number of ornate decorative glass archway style windows, but once again Droylsden Glass were able to produce exact replacement windows that faithfully matched the originals.
