Any company is only as good as its people, which is why at Droylsden Glass we’re putting a great deal of effort into helping both our management and workforce develop their health and safety skills for greater personal and public safety on site.
We have enlisted the aid of these two local specialist companies to provide the suitable training required to achieve the skills and qualifications required.
It’s official – Droylsden Glass is to become one of the highest qualified teams in the North West!
As part of the company’s determination to provide premier quality service to all its many customers “industrial, commercial and domestic“ Droylsden Glass has recently undertaken an extensive ‘Training and Qualification’ programme that will result in every single member of the Surveying and Supervisory team attaining NVQlvl2 and NVQlvl3 qualifications, together with the relevant CSCS card authorisation.
The scheme was managed by Internal Verification Services and Safety2Business, one of the UK’s leading training providers to glass related industries. According to Nick O’Brien of Internal Verification Services it generally takes anywhere between 10 and 12 weeks to attain these qualifications, but such was the experience of the Droylsden Glass personnel that everyone found it very easy to achieve the official qualifications
standards within a remarkably short space of time. Two senior members of the Droylsden Glass team: Kevin Thackeray and Darren Howles are all poised to gain the industry’s top Level 3 qualification, while the rest of the team will shortly confirm qualification up to Level 2. This will give the company the honour of being one of only a very few elite organisations in the North West with all qualified staff.
Not only do these coveted qualifications confirm the experience and skills of the Droylsden Glass team, but they also provide a huge degree of confidence for customers.
