Our customers, Mr and Mrs Harper, wanted a useable family space all year round. Replacing the conservatory roof gave them the additional space they needed without investing in a costly extension making the most of their existing space.

They liked how we work, and the existing conservatory that was roughly 15 years old suffered the usually bitter cold in winter and the blazing heat in summer. The conservatory needed an overhaul to fit in with the family’s needs, and a Supalite Tiled Warm Roof was set to be the best solution. A charcoal Extralight roof covering was selected to not overweight the existing conservatory structure, and a Keylite roof window was installed to allow natural light into the room.

We took the opportunity to improve not only the roof but upgrade the windows and glazing to get the best energy efficiency possible. We replaced the old frames with Deceuninck 2500 uPVC windows with ‘A’ rated glazing Planitherm total+ in white uPVC frames, installed with argon gas between the glass panes and black swiss spacers to get the best thermal performance we could for our customer’s home.

Finally, we all decided if we were going to renovate the conservatory, we might as well do it to the best possible standards. We installed five pane bifold doors by Smarts to give it an extra flair. We used their Visofold 1000 doors, again, with ‘A’ rated glazing Planitherm total+ with argon gas and black swiss spacer in Traffic White to enhance the garden area and showcase the beautiful views of the countryside beyond.
