    Specialist glazing options

It’s possible to improve specific areas of triple glazing further by opting for a specific type of glass. Self-cleaning glass makes use of a special coating which breaks down dirt as it meets the glass surface, resulting in lower maintenance times. Acoustic glass can also be fitted to keep more noise out of your home – perfect for anyone living on busy roads. For increased security or safety, you might also consider toughened or laminate safety glass respectively. We can also offer you an additional boost to thermal performance with our low-emissivity glass. In addition, we can incorporate a range of decorative glass designs onto the glass.

    How does triple glazing work?

Triple glazing adds a third glass pane into the specification. The glass surrounds two sections which are filled with argon-gas. As argon-gas is a conductor, it eliminates energy from escaping out of the glass. In the same way, it stops the draughts from entering your home. This design means that any home will instantly benefit from much more comfortable interior temperatures all year round, and energy bills will be significantly reduced.

Triple glazing originated from Scandinavian markets, however, it has emerged in popularity in the UK because of its outstanding energy efficiency capabilities. Our triple glazed products can achieve A+ energy ratings and incredibly low U-values, for superior thermal insulation performances that are the very best on the market.

The pioneering performance of triple glazing makes it ideal for homes in noisy areas, such as busy main roads or near airports. This is because the three glass panes are able to keep noise pollution out, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet inside of your rooms.

    Acoustic insulating triple glazing

As a resident of Greater Manchester, we’re sure you know only too well how noisy some of the urbanised zones around the region can be. But not to worry, with the sound quelling capabilities of triple glazing from Droylsden Glass, you can enjoy some peace and quiet all year round. Triple glazing has an additional pane of glass over double, and three is better than two! This additional layer significantly weakens the strength of the soundwaves by the time they get from outside to inside the home, so any sound that does get inside is at a lower volume.

In addition to the extra pane of glass, triple glazing also has an additional Argon-filled cavity in the window design. This makes it even more difficult for heat to escape from the home, so properties are even more energy efficient. From an intruder’s perspective, it is more difficult to smash three panes of high-quality glass than two so security is improved also.
